*sigh* this is gonna be long.
2024 was the second most active year for tornadoes in US history with 1,728 tornadoes. 4 EF-4s, 42 EF-3s, 138 EF-2s, 736 EF-1s, 557 EF-0s, 249 EF-Us and 0 EF-5s. (The National Weather Service is hiding something!)
I know I’ve already written about this, but it deserves another mention because of it’s time, but the December 28 tornado outbreak but I won’t go into too much detail because you can find the whole story on real-storm.com. But I will talk about the Athens, Alabama tornado that does not have an official rating yet, but I think it could be a high-end EF-2 maybe a EF-3 but nothing higher.
It’s hurricane time!
It’s hard to find a lot of information on this topic so I’m gonna list the major hurricanes. Beryl CAT 5, Gordon CAT 5, Helene CAT 4, Kirk CAT 4, Milton CAT 5, Nadine CAT 5, Tony CAT 5, Valarie CAT 3, William CAT 3.
