That’s a big tornado. Could be an EF-3, but remember: pre-rating tornadoes is a big no-no. we’ll have to wait until the damage survey comes out.
(That was very off topic.) So the winter storm, just hit, but it had a trail of severe thunderstorms, and as they broke off, they became supercells, that put down four tornadoes. it would be considered an outbreak if there were five tornadoes, then it would be a small outbreak, but there were four. So no outbreak.
I want to talk out the incoming winter storm hitting the south. The stupid jet stream is predicting my hometown, (where I live and have always lived) will just be getting freezing rain. There is still a possibility for snow from the winter storm, but were getting snow anyway, so I'll be fine.

Shout-out to Max Velocity-Severe Weather Center, I get info on these topics from you every morning, Thanks a lot.
Hi Wynn, Ned here. I read this morning in your father’s always insightful newsletter, you aspire to meteorology. Good for you Wynn.
I hear the University of Nebraska also has a top school in meteorology.
I like the weather too, but mainly for how the barometric pressure will affect my aging bones and muscles.
I live in Kansas City now, in the heart of Tornado Alley. Visit someday in the spring with your dad and I can tell you the story of how a wind sheer knocked over a big pin oak tree in our yard, destroyed 2 garages and parts of our house.
Good luck chasing storms. Stay safe.
Ask Will to get you a Personal Weather Station and register with WeatherUnderground.com to become part of their reporting network.
Good luck!
PS Tell Will I've been reading him since Deadspin.
